Early Life & Background
Maddie Phillips (born on September 6, 1994) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (currently 29 years old), spent her early years in Vancouver until the age of 10.
At that point, she relocated to Perth, Western Australia, where her maternal relatives were based.
During her childhood, Maddie was actively involved in soccer for a decade. Although she had a passion for singing, creative writing, photography, and various forms of arts, acting held a special place in her heart.
Upon graduating from Penrhos College in 2012, where she studied theater and earned a High Distinction from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (L.A.M.D.A.), Maddie made the decision to return to Vancouver.
Her goal was to audition for the ASAS program at Capilano University, with the intention of pursuing a career in film and television.
Despite receiving early acceptance into the program, she chose to sign with an acting agency and began auditioning and participating in various independent acting classes throughout the city.
Maddie’s quest to become an actress led her to train at several renowned institutions and studios.
These included Studio On the Drive, where she worked with coaches such as Ingrid Torrance and Arron Craven, Railtown Studios with John Cassini, and The Actors Foundry under the guidance of teacher Matthew Harrison.
Her commitment to continuous improvement continues to this day, as she remains a student and collaborator with Deb Podowski at Austin Tuck Studios.
