Isa Briones Early Life & Background
Isa Briones was born on January 17, 1999, in London, England. Her father who is of Filipino roots is “Jon Jon Briones” and her mother “Megan Briones” has Swedish and Irish roots. Also, Briones has a younger brother named Teo. All members of her family are actors.
When Isa was just ten months old, her family moved from London to New York City. At the young age of three, she started working as a model. In 2006, when Isa was seven, her family relocated to Los Angeles.
At the onset, Briones did not attend any acting school but learned how to act and sing from her parents at home. Later, when she went to the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, she majored in theater and musical theater.
Professional Career
Isa Briones started her career at a very young age as a model in New York City when she was just three years old.
It was in 2008, she began acting in movies and stage plays. Her talent was recognized when she won the Ovation Award for Featured Actress In a Musical for her role in “Next to Normal” in 2018 in Los Angeles.
After that, she went back to New York and became the youngest actor in the first touring company of Hamilton. In the show, she played multiple roles and impressed everyone with her beautiful singing voice.
In 2019, she got a role in Star Trek: Picard where she played two sets of synthetic twins, Dahj and Soji, and Jana and Sutra. She sent audition tapes while performing on stage in Hamilton and found out she’d be playing twins in the series. She first appeared as Dahj and Soji in the season premiere in January 2020.
In October, Briones joined the cast of the Disney+ show Goosebumps, which is inspired by R. L. Stine’s books.
