Asia is also the creator of “The Mermaid Gang,” a movement that empowers women. Notably, she gained recognition as the opening act for Latto’s 777 tour, sharing the stage with Saucy Santanna and Kali the rapper.

Asia Renee Buck was born in Silver Springs, Maryland, on August 29, 1998 to her parents, Tamiko Colonel and Christopher Buck.
She is the middle child among six siblings. When she was just two years old, her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
Regarding her educational background, Asianae attended Riverdale High School and later went to Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, with hopes of studying medicine. But, her freshman year was disrupted by a serious car accident that led her to take a break from college.
After recovering, she decided to go back to school, but this time at Georgia State. She changed her major to Business Administration.
However, she eventually decided to leave school and pursue her path as an entrepreneur. She launched her own line of hair extensions and began selling dancewear.
Entertainment was not new to Asianae because her father owned a production company. She grew up with a deep love for music, listening to oldies and her mother’s CD collection.
This love for music stayed with her into adulthood, and she began writing songs as a form of therapy.
She also spent time in recording studios with her brother, who was a local producer, to learn more about the music-making process. It was during these sessions that she recorded her very first song.
In 2020, Asianae took a bold step and decided to make music her full-time career. Her musical influences include artists like Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, and Rich Kids.

Brown and his team saw great potential in Asianae as a rapper and wanted to help her create her own distinctive sound and brand as an artist. In April 2020, Break ‘Em Off officially added Asianae to their roster.
After signing with the label, Asianae worked on her skills in the recording studio. She collaborated with labelmates like Westside Shod and producer Krazy Figz to develop a more introspective and personal style in her rap.
Her journey as a rapper began with her first single “Dumb,” followed by “Period Pooh” and “Jump,” which quickly became some of her most popular songs.
In November 2021, she released her debut project, “Chosen One,” which reflects on her path to becoming an artist.
The project includes 20 songs and features artists like T.I., Kash Doll, Flo Milli, Tasha Catour, DJ Trebble, Buddha Beats, and even appearances from well-known DJs like Scream, Carisma, Infamous, and Swamp Izzo.
In February 2022, Asianae had the opportunity to open for Latto, a fellow Southside rapper, on her 777 tour across the United States. Through her music, Asianae has also been able to give back to her community and support her fans through philanthropic and educational initiatives.
