Daniel Dae Kim was born in Busan, South Korea to his mother Jung Kim and father Doo-tae Kim. After a year of his birth, his parents relocated to the United States where he spent his childhood growing up in New York City, Easton, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Education-wise, Daniel completed his highschool education at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After that, he pursued higher education at Haverford College in Pennsylvania where he graduated in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Political science and in Theater.

His pursuit of a career in acting led him to attend a Graduate Acting Program in New York’s University where he graduated with an MFA in acting in 1996.

Daniel Dae Kim has been an actor for a long time and has done many different kinds of acting. He started in the ’90s and ’00s, being in shows like “Law & Order,” “All-American Girl,” and “Unsolved Mysteries,” as well as movies like “American Shaolin.”

Later on, in the late ’90s and early 2000s, he was in more TV series like “Pacific Palisades,” “NYPD Blue,” and “Seinfeld.” He also acted in “Ally McBeal,” “The Practice,” and “The Pretender,” showing that he can play different characters.
