I followed the link (which now has been updated to include the actual Fresh Air interview with Morris), and after listening to the interview, I have come to the conclusion that this may have been the first time that Harvey Weinstein had ever listened to the program… perhaps it was his first time listening to NPR at all. My reaction was to go to Netflix and put The Thin Blue Line in my queue, as it has been some time since I’ve seen it. Weinstein seems to believe that this show should have been all about sound bites a’la Entertainment Tonight, and failed to grasp the fact that Fresh Air is a show of serious discussion. Even Weinstein goldenboy Quentin Tarantino gives thoughtful discussion when interviewed here, and holds back the jittery platitudes that often accompany his promotional tours.
